All persons convicted of these offences will be forced to pay $475.00 to attend education courses.

Police  have the right to impound vehicles, and owners with suspended licences caught behind the wheel will be incarcerated for periods of 45, 90 and 180 days. Fines for that charge will increase to $25,000 from $5,000 and car owners will have to pay impound fees to get their vehicles back.

If injury or death occurs, the maximum penalties include (respectively) 10 and 14 years imprisonment.
